A gantry is a structure used to straddle an object or workspace. Gantry cranes are very similar to traditional overhead bridge cranes as both cranes straddle their workload. Gantry cranes differ in that the entire structure runs on rails typically mounted on the floor level.
Gantry cranes are an economical choice for portable or infrequent lifting anywhere in a facility. A gantry can run on a floor mounted rail or directly on the floor using polyurethane casters which provide ease of movement.
From lifting very heavy objects to special applications MHS designs and builds custom gantry crane systems that are cost effective all the while provide the speed, efficiency, and durability you demand. MHS gantry cranes are also available in both fixed and adjustable height styles.
